Ok, so after seeing an AMV at AMA 2009 with footage from Princess Tutu I took a risk and bought the whole series at Best Buy for around $30. I have not regretted it one bit. I'm up to disc 4 and I'm absolutely in love with this series! What really hooks me is the use of so much of Tchaikovsky's music: Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and other classical music. There was even a sequence featuring "Habanera" from Carmen, my favorite opera of all time (so far)! I also love how it incorporates classic fairy and folk tales like Cinderella, The Ugly Duckling, The Red Shoes, and others.

So now I go back to watching it before work today! Everyone go buy it! It's so awesome!!! 8D
